About Lori Adelle

Welcome!  I am a wholly unprofessional, traditional media artist in the Tacoma, WA area.  I specialize in human figures and portraiture, in graphite and watercolors particularly but I've been exploring acrylics.  I'll basically use whatever suits the project.  You'll notice in the gallery that I also dabble in other crafts, such as sculpting and traditional hand-poke tattoo.  I've been drawing and painting all my life, growing with the aid of some really wonderful mentors here and there.  

I think that art in any form is highly therapeutic and healing, and should not be designated only for certain level of skill/devotion.  Even an occasional doodler of cartoons is an artist!  Poetry, scrap booking, calligraphy, carpentry - it all allows us to take an idea in our heads and turn it into something we can share with others.
